Parent Testimonial

What can I say about Scott Mitchem’s training and its positive effects on my sons? So many things that would take up too much space.  We first met Scott in December of 2018 and I was intrigued to learn about his “speed training”.  My son was always a naturally fast athlete but I knew he needed to be steered correctly to really maximize his potential.  Scott took him in and put him to work, mentored him on what it would take to get there and instilled confidence in him that if he put in that work the results would come. As they put in that constant work I could really see the results take hold.  Not only did my son progress on the field of play, but I also saw his confidence begin the grow.  Scott instilled in him a calmness that when he got on the field there was no chance anyone worked harder or prepared better than he did.  Then in spring 2020 the world came to a halt during COVID, but Scott held outdoor small group workouts for those who wanted to keep working.  I really feel that was a major turning point as my son started putting up amazing measurables for box jumps, long jumps, squats and everything else measured at Scott’s gym.  By the time baseball finally resumed in the summer it was obvious to everyone who saw my son on the field how fast and athletic he was as he put up a great season.  Then fall arrived, soccer started and he ended up being the leading scorer on his team with clutch goals every time he scored including in the playoffs.  As winter arrived Scott suggested my son should try indoor track for the first time.  Scott knew he could get on the track and dominate and he was absolutely right.  My son went undefeated for the season, broke 2 school records including the 55m dash, won the league title in the 55m, and was a patriot league all-star and team MVP.  When he got to high school baseball season in 2021 he led the team in almost every major offensive category.  In between all of this, his training videos with Scott caught the eye of some local prep schools that recruited him heavily.  He decided to attend Milton Academy and get back the baseball season he lost in 2020.  He quickly made his presence known at Milton and earned an ISL all-star nod.  Then in the summer of 2022, he led his travel team hitting .515 for the summer going 49 for 95.  By July 2022 after all the hard work with Scott and success on the field, he finally realized his dream and committed to play division 1 baseball at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst starting in the 23/24 school year.  If all that isn’t enough, my other son who has also trained with Scott is on track to pitch in college as well.  I can’t say enough about the impact he has had on my son’s lives.  He builds athletes physically, mentally and serves as a mentor to all of them.  I am particularly impressed at what a community his athletes are. They show up at each other’s games and important life events to show support.  Scott Mitchem is the real deal and he has built something special.  If your athlete gets the invite take it.  It could change the trajectory of your child’s athletic hopes and dreams.
